Organization Branding
Customize how Gen8 looks for your organization. Branding helps create a consistent experience and reinforces your organization's identity.
Accessing Branding Settings
Go to Organization settings and click on Branding to access your customization options.
Logo
To add your organization's logo, click Upload Logo, select your logo file, adjust positioning if needed, and save your changes.
For best results, use a square or horizontal logo in PNG or SVG format with a minimum of 200x200 pixels and a transparent background. Your logo appears in the navigation header, login screens for your members, and public sharing pages.
Colors
The primary color is your main brand color, used for buttons, accents, highlights, active states, links, and interactive elements.
The secondary color provides supporting brand presence through secondary buttons, alternative highlights, and supporting elements.
To change colors, click on the color picker, enter your hex code or select a color, preview the changes, and save when satisfied.
Choose colors that provide good contrast for readability, are easy on the eyes, match your brand guidelines, and work well in both light and dark contexts.
Preview
The live preview updates in real-time as you make changes, allowing you to check different pages, verify readability, and test interactive elements before saving.
Always review your changes before saving: check logo placement, color contrast, text readability, and overall appearance.
Resetting to Defaults
If you want to start over, click Reset to Defaults and confirm the reset. The default Gen8 branding is restored.
Best Practices
Brand consistency: Use your official brand colors and follow your brand guidelines to maintain consistency across all the tools your organization uses.
Accessibility: Ensure everyone can use the platform by maintaining good color contrast and not relying on color alone to convey information. Test with different vision types when possible.
Testing: Before finalizing, view your branding on different devices, check in different browsers, get feedback from team members, and test public sharing pages.
Documentation: Record your choices by noting the color codes used, saving original logo files, and documenting any special considerations for future reference.
