Chats
Chats are where you interact with AI agents. This is where prompts become responses, where documents get created, and where the AI's capabilities come to life.
Starting a Conversation
To begin a new conversation, navigate to your agent and click Start Chat or New Conversation. If the agent has form fields configured, fill those in first—they provide the initial context for your interaction. Then click Start and begin chatting.
When you have an active project selected, its context and files are automatically included in the conversation. The AI receives the project's background information and can reference any documents you've added to that project.
The Chat Interface
The message input sits at the bottom of the chat. Type your message, attach files if needed using the attachment icon, then click send or press Enter. You can drag and drop files directly into the chat as well.
Supported attachments include documents (PDF, Word, etc.), images, audio files, and code files. The AI processes each type appropriately—viewing images, extracting document content, transcribing audio when that capability is enabled.
Chat Features
Each AI message includes action buttons for common operations. Copy captures the message content in various formats. Feedback lets you rate the response, helping improve the agent over time.
When copying, you can choose from several formats depending on your needs: plain unformatted text, structured text with enhanced formatting, styled text with basic formatting preserved, Markdown format for technical documentation, or raw HTML for web content.
Managing Conversations
Access your previous conversations through the chat history. You can search through them, browse by date or agent, and click any conversation to continue where you left off.
To delete a conversation, open it and use the delete option. Be certain before confirming—deleted chats cannot be recovered.
Chat Controls
If the AI is heading in an unhelpful direction or taking too long, click the stop button to interrupt generation. You can then redirect the conversation or ask a different question.
When the AI creates documents (artifacts), they appear inline in the chat. You can expand them to see the full content, edit them directly, and download them in multiple formats. Learn more about working with these in Working with Artifacts.
